Meesha Caplinger, MSN, APRN, NP-C, CNOR, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Northeast Ohio Urogynecology in Akron, Ohio. As a partner to Dr. South, Meesha brings her skills and expertise in women’s health care to deliver the best treatment for each patient who comes into the practice.
Meesha began a career in nursing by attending Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, where she received her bachelor’s of science in nursing.
During her final year of nursing school, she worked in the cardiac telemetry unit and transitioned into a registered nurse at the start of her nursing career. Following her cardiac and charge nursing experience, she served as a registered nurse in the operating room, working in all specialities (including gynecology and general surgery).
As a registered nurse, she received a promotion to surgical clinical coordinator. Then, the following year, she became a certified perioperative nurse.
Meesha’s passion for learning and dedication to helping others motivated her to pursue a master’s of science in nursing (with a subspeciality in adult and gerontology primary care) at Kent State University.
She also has extensive clinical experience, including rotations in women’s health, primary care, addiction medicine and cardiology. After her clinical rotations, she developed a passion for women’s health.
When she’s not learning more about women’s health care, Meesha loves spending time with her family in different ways, like trying new restaurants, canoeing and walking their dogs.
